In a game, we perhaps didn’t deserve to take maximum points from we were presented with a golden chance to earn our first three points of the season.
When Sean Morrison saw a cross from Muto strike his arm, he was mortified to see the referee, Craig Pawson, award a penalty.
With what turned out to be the last kick of the game, Newcastle had a glorious chance to win.
But, sadly, there was a twist in the script.
Kenedy strode forward to take the spot kick and saw his poor effort saved by Neil Etheridge in the Cardiff goal.
The miss summed up perfectly Kenedy’s contribution to the game.
The Brazilian, on a season-long loan from Chelsea, had a shocker and the social media site visitors have been scathing in their comments:
Why did he take the penalty he hasn’t completed a pass in the hole game couldn’t hit a barn door

Everyone has a bad day and it does not suddenly make him a bad player but Kenedy was shocking today. NEVER should have taken the penalty! Should have been Shelvey or Murphy.

It’s hard to argue with any of the above, although the Cardiff manager, Neil Warnock, might claim the Brazilian shouldn’t have even been on the pitch following a blatant indiscretion in the first half.
But perhaps our final comment is a little harsh:
Never let Kenedy play again

Just a little mind you!
