Plenty of Newcastle United supporters have flocked to a recent tweet from beIN Sport anchor Richard Keys.
The former Sky Sports man has been actively against the Magpies’ Saudi takeover and has now claimed the Middle Eastern state is out to ‘destroy’ the Qatari company he works for.
@RonnieTemplar The Saudi’s set out to destroy the company I work for & this fabulous little country I live in. Hundreds of my friends have lost jobs as a result. Like everyone else I’m allowed an opinion. Mine is based on facts not vitriolic abuse & death threats. 👍🏼.

And his comments have unsurprisingly sparked a reaction from the St James’ Park faithful with many believing the 63-year-old presenter deserves everything that’s come his way.
United’s takeover has edged closer to approval this week after the Saudi kingdom announced they would clamp down on issues of piracy in their country.
It’s thought that pirate streaming service beoutQ was holding the deal back as they have illegally broadcasted Premier League matches, which is something the top-flight have tried to combat for years.
Saudi and Qatar simply do not get on and Keys’ remarks are hardly going to help those relations.
Anyway, here’s how the fanbase has reacted…
I’m not sure how Saudi piracy is the reason BeIN let hundreds of staff go, sounds a bit ridiculous.

“I wish it wasn’t Newcastle United being taken over..” or words to that effect I seem to remember. Whatever your own issues, when you start saying things like that, given your track record of criticism towards Rafa & #nufc, you will get no sympathy from us!
