Newcastle confirmed today that they have settled on a design for the new home kit ahead of 2017/18 Premier League season.

They did so with a kit reveal video on social media and via the official website.

It was the same strip that had been leaked earlier and although it’s not clear if the club wanted to reveal this information today, they did so with confirmation of the new club sponsor.

Fun88 replacing outgoing sponsors Wonga in a deal that will last three years although the money involved hasn’t been revealed at present.

Fun88 are an Asian betting company and because of the rules with shirt advertising on kids strips, there will be a sponsor less version out to buy when the strip goes on sale next month.

Speaking about it in advance of the 125th anniversary season in which we became known as Newcastle United, club MD Lee Charnley said:

We have worked closely with Puma to deliver a design that celebrates our history.

The anniversary crest, simplicity of the design and the red numbers on the back of the shirt are just small touches that make it a special kit for a milestone season.
