Newcastle Striker Provides Injury Update & Receives Positive Response From A Number Of Fans

|

On loan West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon took to social media late Tuesday afternoon to post an update as he continues to look to return to full fitness following injury.

Having arrived at St James’ Park in the August transfer window in a deal that saw Dwight Gayle head to The Hawthorns for the year, he’s made three starting appearances for manager Rafa Benitez so far, with an additional two shows from the bench – his solitary goal so far coming in the EFL Cup tie against Nottingham Forest.

His confidence was boosted during the September international break as he found the net twice for Venezuela but he found himself substituted at the halftime break in our draw with Crystal Palace late on in the month. He hasn’t however featured for us since that game back on September 22nd but it does look like he’s on his way back.

With his goal return so far it’s more than fair to say he hasn’t yet hit the ground running for us really, but plenty are hopeful he’ll do just that when he does return to action.
