Newcastle Star ‘Anxious’ To Have His Future Resolved

|

Isaac Hayden is still keen on leaving the club despite having a transfer request turned down by the club, according to the Mirror journalist John Cross.

The midfielder is reportedly “anxious” to have his future resolved, and he is keen to move down south to be closer to his family.

Hayden wasn’t in the matchday squad for the defeat to Spurs, and he is now waiting to see if he will be included against Cardiff.

Aston Villa and Stoke are believed to be monitoring the 23-year-old’s situation, but a loan move to either club wouldn’t satisfy his need to be closer to London.

If he is purely concerned about getting more game time then a switch to the Championship would make more sense, but Rafa Benitez still sees him as part of the first team squad.

An injury to Mo Diame would likely see Hayden get a place in the starting eleven, and with few other options in the squad, the manager is unlikely to let him go before January when we can recruit a replacement.
