Newcastle have announced that we have found a sponsor for the new availability of a place on the shirt sleeve for separate sponsors.
The sponsor is a tyre company from India called MRF Tyres or it’s full name which is Madras Rubber Factory Limited.
With recent reports that Newcastle had people over in the Far East looking for investment, this seems like it’s came off the back of that although there is no mention of worth to the club as in income per season.
One thing is certain is that the continued use of the club to advertise Mike Ashley’s companies for free has been paramount in finding the best audiences in the world with Asia up there for massive potential for him rather than the best thing for Newcastle as a footballing club.
Speaking of the deal, Newcastle MD Lee Charnley said on the official NUFC website:
I am delighted to welcome MRF as the club`s first shirt sleeve partner.
MRF is a hugely respected global brand and a market leader in a territory where a passion for football is continuing to grow.
