Newcastle are finally set to break their transfer window duck with the Loan signing of Oguchi Onyewu.
The Standard Liege player is under going a medical at St. James’s park and the deal should be sealed sometime today.
Onyewu has 17 caps for the USA and played in all three of their group games in the last world cup.
Nicknamed ‘Gooch’ the 6’4” defender will add some badly needed height to the Newcastle back four.
It’s nice to, finally, see some transfer activity. And with some papers reporting Newcastle are close to sealing a £5million deal for Ajax’s Ryan Babel, Roeder things are looking up.
