Newcastle had players selected in Martin O’Neill’s latest Ireland international squad.

O’Neill announced the squad by saying that Ciaran Clark would miss out though with a knee injury although we have two players selected in goalkeeper Rob Elliot and striker Daryl Murphy

The Newcastle pair will link up with the Ireland squad at the end of May to play a friendly a few days later in Mexico.

Then it’s a trek home for a friendly against Uruguay on June 4th before a proper game and their World Cup Qualifier against Austria in the Aviva Stadium.

Elliot has featured four times for Ireland whilst Murphy has played twenty three times, scoring one goal.
