Newcastle Out Of Race For £18m Rated Italian International – Report

|

Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro could be on his way to Genoa on loan, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport with Premier League clubs baulking at the player’s asking price.

The Italian publication reports that Juve are demanding €20m (£18m) for the 25-year-old, with West Ham, Leicester City, Crystal Palace, Wolves and us all previously reported as being interested.

With the transfer window closing tomorrow, the Serie A side’s CEO Giuseppe Marotta believes the possibility of a sale to an English team is now highly unlikely.

Sturaro started his professional career at Genoa before moving to Juventus in 2014. It is believed a loan move would benefit all parties. The player will get more time with first-team opportunities likely to be limited in Turin after the arrival of Emre Can from Liverpool this summer.

In addition, the Bianconeri can keep hold of the midfielder without selling the Italian international for what they feel is below market value.
