On-Loan West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon continued his return from his recent injury and was back on the pitch for Newcastle United last weekend as we took a 1-0 victory over Watford.
Although Ayoze Perez got the winner on the day, Rondon’s own performance up top wasn’t great but it wasn’t a disaster either and the work rate and effort was certainly there, even if not an end product. The 29-year-old took to social media following the game to celebrate our first Premier League win of the season.

His message went over well with fans on Twitter and plenty took the time to respond to the Venezuelan international.
Well played Salomon!

With everyone taking a boost from the victory fans will be hoping the players certainly do and having now got that first win under our belts we don’t have to wait another eleven odd weeks before we get the second.
A decent run of results now should quickly move us away from the bottom of the table and we can make things easier for ourselves this year.
