Newcastle Keen On Recruiting Ex Arsenal Star But There’s A Problem

|

The club are weighing up a move for West Bromwich Albion full-back Kieran Gibbs, according to Daily Mail columnist Simon Jones.

We are also said to be in talks for Paris Saint-Germain defender Stanley N’Soki with the latter likely to be a more realistic target due to the club’s transfer budget.

Gibbs only joined the Baggies from Arsenal last August for £6.75m, but the defender would likely be interested in a return to the Premier League if offered the chance.

The Chronicle reports Rafa Benitez is seeking four new signings before the close of the transfer window, with a full-back one of his priorities.

In addition to Gibbs and N’Soki, we have also enquired about Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico in recent days. However, in what has become a consistent theme this summer, there are concerns about whether we could match the Argentinian international’s £8m asking price.

Do you think signing the West Brom defender would be a good idea? Let me know in the poll:
