Newcastle fans will love what 23-year-old had to say after Wolves tie

|

Monday evening was a big disappointment for Newcastle, but Isaac Hayden’s comments after the game are sure to please fans – as he’s given an insight into what the locker room is like at St. James’ Park.

Wolves’ goal could be put down to a mistake from Martin Dubravka, but Hayden isn’t looking to single the goalkeeper out.

As per the Chronicle, he said: “He [Dubravka] is a top-class goalkeeper; we win as a team, lose as a team and draw as a team, so there will be no blame at his door.”

He continued: “We all have to take responsibility. Everyone has made mistakes throughout the season but we just have to stick together and get as many points as we can.”

It would be easy, when things don’t go well, to blame one individual. Certainly, the goalkeeper could have done much better on Monday.

However, the reality is that it’s just one of those things, and you could just as easily blame the defenders for not helping him out, or the forwards for not adding to Newcastle’s lead.

Despite all of the negativity surrounding Newcastle at present, it’s clear that the dressing room is still united, and that’s such good news for the Magpies.
