Newcastle Fans Have Been A “Driving Force” For This Man

|

Newcastle United defender Florian Lejeune suffered an anterior cruciate ligament back in July as fans will be aware.

Having obviously not made an appearance for manager Rafa Benitez in the 2018/19 Premier League campaign so far, the 27-year-old former Eibar player has been diligently undergoing his rehabilitation work as he looks to get himself back to fitness, and eventually, first team contention once again.

Whilst he has some way to go on his journey back given the severity of the injury, the Frenchman appears to be in good spirits judging from an interview he did with the clubs’ media department recently and he had huge thanks for the fans who had taken the time out to send him good wishes on social media.

Having arrived in the summer of 2017 for a reported ÂŁ8.7million, he’s notched up 24 appearances so far in our shirt and I’m sure the vast majority of fans will be pleased with his words and the comments in response show a number are looking forward to welcoming him back.
