With the January transfer window almost at an end, there seems to be slight creaking in the hinges at Newcastle.

That’s because according to goal.com, the much discussed loan move for Chelsea’s left back come wing back come winger, Kenedy, seems to have legs in it.

A deal was reported in all of the national papers as happening all Summer long but it was said that Chelsea pulled the plug and the paperwork remained in place to resurrect come January.

With that seemingly being the case now, it remains to be seen how long this will take to get over the line and how long we’ll be left to focus on the minimum two more players that we need in our relegation battle.

Where Kenedy will play here remains to be seen with our tactics completely different to Chelsea’s but it’s been well documented that aside from the left back spot being up for grabs, Rafa has been targeting a left winger, so he may alternate.

Kenedy, full name Robert Kenedy Nunes Nascimento a Brazilian youth international caused issues for Chelsea in China during the Summer when he posted a couple of videos on social media that insulted the Chinese and ended up being sent back to England.

It is expected that Kenedy will do his medical tomorrow and sign on loan for the rest of the season but as yet it’s not known if there is a permanent clause in any deal.
