With Newcastle United fans not having an awful lot to shout about so far in the Premier League campaign of 2018/19, taking victory courtesy of Ayoze Perez’s first goal of the season over Watford last weekend was very warmly greeted indeed.
Taking a 1-0 victory to boost flagging spirits and lift us back out of the relegation zone, the clean sheet was obviously key to the club and that left a number of fans hailing the performance of goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.
The game saw the 29-year-old stopper register his fourth clean sheet of the season so far, and rather surprisingly that puts him very high in the clean sheet table.
Martin Dubravka has kept 4 clean sheets this season.
Only Ederson (7), Kepa Arrizabalaga (6) and Alisson (6) have kept more.

The news, of course, went over incredibly well with those fans who took the time to respond to that fact and when you think of the money spent by the parent clubs of the players listed, Dubravka has been an absolute steal and proof you can definitely still get bargains in the game.
Benitez has won every trophy imaginable and yet under the achievements section on his resume all it reads is "Signed Dubravka for £4m."

Cracking keeper. Changes the whole dynamic of the side. It’s up front we have concerns. Need a striker more than ever. Rondon not the solution.

In the top 4 of the premier league without a doubt.

He’s the beat Goalkeeper in the Premier League after Da Gea.

Could do with a few more steals like him in the January window.
