James Milner is currently spending the season on loan at Aston Villa, and not only has he impressed the Villa fans, but he seems to want a deal to be struck in the summer.
During his one season with The Magpies, Milner made more substitute appearances than starts, and is now loving his place in the Villa first team.
Villa boss David O’Leary has already expressed an interest in keeping the 19-year-old permanently, although he feels Milner’s likely £5 million fee is beyond the club’s budget. His £1m offer was laughed out of Tyneside.
Milner: ‘I had regular games at Leeds, but at Newcastle I was in and out of the team, coming off the bench a lot, and didn’t start too many games. If you play every week you get into the rhythm and you can’t really see how someone is doing until they are playing week in and week out.
‘I’ve enjoyed my football since I’ve been here. As for the future, as far as I know, I’m here for a year-long loan and whatever happens will happen. It’s really out of my hands.’
