Mike Ashley Continues Doing Mike Ashley Things

|

If people weren’t yet convinced that we were right to protest against Mike Ashley, then he’s going out of his way to try and prove us right, which I suppose is the nicest thing he’s done since he cleared our debt.

Determined to have himself a Sports Direct Arena again, Mike Ashley bought Coventry City’s stadium recently, and rumours were that he’d use that as a back-door deal to purchase the club too, however that didn’t materialise so now, instead, he’s issued Coventry City with an eviction notice. So, you acquire yourself a nice stadium, and then boot out the one entity that can make you money from it. Makes sense.

There’s been no plan revealed as to what Frasers Group intend to do with an empty stadium, but let’s be honest, if you’re not going to use it for its intended purpose, which it doesn’t seem like they are, then all they can really do is knock it down and build on the land, which is likely what will happen. Some sort of Sports Direct/Fraser Group megacomplex.

I get that the business world is cut-throat, but this guy just likes to wander about swinging a machete around with no regard for who he slices.

The one positive we can take away from this is that he’s no longer our problem. Now we’re like that person who Facebook stalks their mental ex to see what crazy stuff they’ve been up to this week and thanking our stars that we’re not involved anymore, whilst warning everyone we can not to get in bed with them.
