Newcastle fans on Twitter were given some awful news yesterday morning. The Magpies, after facing Leicester in midweek action in the Carabao Cup, are set to be without Matt Ritchie for around two months as the defender/midfielder has suffered ligament damage in his ankle.

The news came straight from the mouth of Steve Bruce, who was speaking in his press conference yesterday morning ahead of the visit of Watford later today.
The injury to Ritchie occurred as Hamza Choudhury went into a firm tackle with the Scottish Newcastle man, and now it looks like the fans are going to have to get by without their passionate versatile left-sided man.
