Liverpool striker Danny Ings is reportedly on the market this summer after telling the Reds he wants to leave to get more first-team football.
The Telegraph reported that he could be available for a relatively modest fee which got me thinking whether he’d be a good fit for us.
Last week I polled fans for their opinions on making the move for the 25-year-old, and it seems the majority were keen on us making a bid for the striker.
It would be an interesting way to go for the club if we do make a swoop for the former Burnley man. At the moment it seems we are pursuing a deal for Alassane Plea of Nice.
Our first bid was apparently rejected and with an asking price of £27m, it may lead us to move on to other potential targets if we can’t agree a fee. Would you be interested in Ings as a possible alternative? Or would he be a major step down on Plea? Let me know.
