Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Tom Huddlestone has expressed his frustration at lack of playing opportunities at Spurs, and believes that manager Harry Redknapp does not rate him.

‘It has been very frustrating recently.

“If I get an opportunity, all I can do is remind the manager what I can do. I have not really spoken to the manager that much.’

When asked about potential suitors Newcastle United, and Fulham, Huddlestone did not deny that he had heard of the duo’s interest.

‘The only rumours I know are what I hear and what I read about, so it has been frustrating,’ he said.

He went on to that he would continue to work hard for the team, but if not given the opportunity his frustration could grow out of bounds.

‘Not playing is very difficult. I just have to force my way back into the team.

‘It is a case of continuing to work hard and trying not to let the situation affect me daily.’

The 22-year-old, 6’3in central midfielder is one of several midfielders Newcastle United are looking into, with Manchester City’s Michael Johnson also in the frame.
