Lots of Newcastle United fans have reacted on Twitter after fan favourite Martin Dubravka spoke about his return to recovery.
The Slovakian international has been out injured after facing Southampton earlier in the month during their 1-0 win at St. Mary’s.
Since then, the ‘keeper was ruled out for the remainder of March, which would have seen him miss out on some important games. However, with the outbreak of the coronavirus, it now seems as if April 30 will be the earliest date for games to be back on – and even then, that date still seems quite unlikely given that the country is in lockdown.
Martin Dubravka, who has been working with the club’s physio from a safe distance, updated supporters of how he was progressing – and said that he and his girlfriend have been taking long walks with their dog to keep themselves occupied.
He discussed further how it is difficult for him and his girlfriend due to them being out of their own country,ย but he has kept going by training at home.
And, oh, yeah – the dog’s name is Shay, which obviously got supporters completely buzzing, likening to a former favourite in Shay Given.
Unsurprisingly, this took centre stage for supporters who replied to the story which was posted by Newcastle’s Twitter account.
