“Snap their hands off” – A lot of Newcastle United fans now want the club to accept a bid for Sean Longstaff after a poor start to the season from the Geordie midfielder.
Longstaff broke through last season but suffered a bad knee injury in March that ended his season.
Hopes were high for him this year, but he has struggled to assert any dominance in the Newcastle midfield and on Sunday the game passed him by.
After the match, Longstaff expressed his frustration, and something is clearly not quite right with the 21-year-old.
There was serious interest from Manchester United, but a bid of £25m was rejected, and Newcastle slapped a £50m price tag on Longstaff. Maybe his head was turned?
This season he does not seem to have the same focus or determination as last year, and these Newcastle fans want him to be sold.
