Newcastle United face a stern test this season fighting for their Premier League status but fans are in a more positive mood this week after their narrow victory over Watford.
Three points against the Hornets came courtesy of Ayoze Perez’s first goal of the season, which saw the Magpies win at the 11th time of asking in the league.
The mood of the supporters increased further on Monday evening as they witnessed former striker Aleksandar Mitrovic struggle for Fulham, with the Cottagers’ 1-0 defeat leaving them hovering near the relegation zone.
Mitrovic started the campaign in decent form and has five goals to his name from ten matches but has now gone six games without a goal – and Newcastle fans enjoyed basking in his misery after another forgetful performance against Huddersfield.
