Plenty of Newcastle United fans have been reacting to an update regarding the club’s takeover by a consortium led by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).
As of Tuesday, PIF were under intense scrutiny from the Premier League for several reasons, one of them being their attitude towards human rights as well as their links with pirate television.
Jason Burt of the Telegraph revealed on Twitter that the £300m bid is credible and that fans will find out in the “next few days” if the takeover can go ahead.
