With January`s transfer policy seemingly hinging on a sell to buy policy, the club were today dealt a blow by the news that Xisco is unlikely to be flogged back to Spain without a special FIFA mandate. Today a FIFA spokesman outlined that only exceptional circumstances would allow the former Deportivo man to be hawked over to Espana. The rules state:

FIFA spokesman said: ‘Players maybe registered for a maximum of three clubs in one season, but during that period they can only play official matches for two clubs. The exceptions are for players moving between associations where the seasons do not run at the same time, such as South America or Norway for example.’
