“Let him go”, “Unhappy camp” – Lots of NUFC fans react to Lee Ryder’s update on unsettled player

There has been a lot of talk about a possibility of a takeover this week but the club would do well to focus on the here and now, with reports emerging that Isaac Hayden is unsettled at the club.

It is not the first time the midfielder has felt such a way, and last summer he revealed concern over his future at the club, raising doubts about whether he would stay beyond summer deadline day.

The presence of Steve Bruce may have persuaded him to stay, as the pair previously worked together at Hull, and although the 25-year-old has made 24 league appearances this season it seems he is still not happy in the north-east.

Would you be disappointed if Isaac Hayden left in the summer?

No

The Chronicle’s Lee Ryder suggests the player is unsettled, possibly because he has been out of favour in recent weeks due to the arrival of January loan signing Nabil Bentaleb, with the Algerian taking his place on occasion despite only averaging a WhoScored rating of just 6.6.

Bruce therefore faces some difficulty to hang onto the former Arsenal man, though the reactions of some fans would suggest that they may be pleased if he left the club.
