Not many people have played for and managed Newcastle United Football Club.
To play for the club is an absolute honour and to also manage the club is something very few get the opportunity to do.
But, Kevin Keegan not only did both the above but he did it with distinction and in doing so cemented his name in Geordie folklore.
It is now a decade since Keegan quit Newcastle United during his second spell as our boss, his departure following a disagreement with Mike Ashley and his then side-kick Dennis Wise.
A decade on and now, with his autobiography:
My Life in Football
about to hit the shops, the local media source, the Newcastle Chronicle, is reporting that Kevin Keegan will be in attendance, exposing what exactly went on during those dark days, at the Sage, Gateshead.
It promises to be a hugely eventful evening with Keegan set to reveal a few home truths that will, no doubt, shock the masses.
Here’s hoping we can get a ticket!
