However, ahead of the trip to Liverpool, a match which envokes so many emotions from King Kev’s first tenure, the Toon boss says his side are much more confident after a decent performance against Blackburn last time out, which they lost late on despite dominating.
Newcastle are still only 3 points above the drop zone.
