Some Newcastle United fans have been reacting in delight to a social media post that hints of the club’s takeover going through as previously reported.
The club’s takeover talks are currently in deadlock after the Daily Mail revealed that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) are facing intense scrutiny from the Premier League. This refers to their attitude towards humans rights, their involvement in pirate television and their relationship with Sheffield United’s owner Prince Abdullah.
Abdullah Al-Sheikh, who is believed to be close to PIF’s Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, posted an image on Twitter that stated “you haven’t seen anything yet”, with the club’s crest in the background.

If the deal goes through, this will bring Ashley’s 13-year spell as Newcastle’s owner to an end, with very few of the St James’ Park faithful who will be sad to see him leave.
Unsurprisingly, supporters were ecstatic to discover this latest social media post and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he had “goosebumps” just looking at it.
