“I’ve stopped going to games” – These Newcastle fans react to shocking attendance statistics

|

“Being a NUFC supporter is an extreme sport” – A lot of Newcastle United fans have reacted to the news that the attendances at St James’ Park are down by around 7,000 people this season.

The summer at NUFC saw Rafael Benitez depart the club and Steve Bruce arrive this led to a pledge from many Newcastle fans that they would not return to St James’ until Mike Ashley finally departed the club.

New statistics have revealed that the boycott is working and that the attendances are decreasing by the game.

Performances like Saturday are hardly like to entice fans back either.

After 12 years of neglect and lack of funds, many Newcastle fans are now voting with their feet and attendances will probably continue to drop.

One Newcastle fan has claimed that the dropping crowds show how some Toon fans are falling out of love with their club.

See the best of the reaction below.
