“This is so Newcastle” – A lot of Newcastle United fans do not want the club to re-sign Lewis Gibson.
There is a report that Newcastle want to bring the 19-year-old defender back to Tyneside.
Gibson’s brother is still at the club but is currently on loan at Grimsby, and he is also good friends with the Longstaff’s.
So, a move back to Newcastle may be something that appeals to the 19-year-old who has not made the first-team breakthrough he was expected to.
When he was at Newcastle, he was seen as a bright prospect, but Newcastle lost him before he could sign a professional deal.
The news of Gibson returning to Tyneside has not gone down too well on Twitter, with some Toon fans thinking he will not be worth their time.
