‘It has not worked’, ‘Nonsense’ – These Toon fans don’t agree with journalist’s word on coach

Plenty of Newcastle fans have had their say about a story in the press which discusses what Steve Bruce has done to improve the club.

Chief Toon writer at the Chronicle Lee Ryder wrote a report about some of the work that he has done to ensure a decent start to this campaign, though there was a pretty overwhelming response from fans who don’t seem to agree with him.

Within the piece, Ryder refers to the way Bruce has used his man-management skills to solve issues, how the team is having fun has during training sessions and also the way in which he has tweaked his predecessor’s tactics.

More specifically, it mentions how the wing-backs are now more advanced – as proved by Jetro Willems’ performances as well as the way in which Javier Manquillo was able to win a free kick in such an advanced position.

Despite this reasoning, plenty still weren’t willing to agree with it – as you can read below…

Others were slightly blunter in their response to the piece and gave simpler one-sentence replies about the article. They’re still of the same ilk, though, with fans simply not willing to believe that things have gotten any better.
