Monday evening’s clash for Newcastle United could’ve been easier given a more nervy ending to the tie after the hosts had made it a one-goal game, but a Ben Mee own goal and a Ciaran Clark effort ultimately secured all three points against Burnley at Turf Moor.

Manager Rafa Benitez saw his side make it three top-flight wins on the spin and anything but victory would’ve been pretty harsh given our control on large parts of the game, but the 90 minutes also gave other reasons for cheer.

It’s lifted us into 13th place in the Premier League table and although statistics website Whoscored gave Clark their star man rating for his efforts, a number of players put in solid shifts to take the praise from fans.

In their way of crunching the numbers to determine a performance, the top five best showings on the day were completed by Ayoze Perez (7.96), Matt Ritchie (7.37), Fabian Schar (7.35) and Federico Fernandez (7.25).

Can we make it four from four?
