‘Impossible to be worse’: Some Newcastle fans criticise midfielder despite victory

Newcastle United secured a first victory of the season against Watford on Saturday, rising out of the relegation zone by picking up three points.

Ayoze Perez netted the only goal of the game in what was a tough encounter for Rafael Benitez’s side at St. James’ Park and, despite the win ending a run of 10 winless games in the Premier League this season, not everyone managed to impress.

Mohamed Diame was singled out for criticism after the 31-year-old struggled to perform in the win against the Hornets, with plenty identifying that Ki-Sung Yeung performed much better after his introduction in the second half.
