With our draw against Wolves still fresh in the memory, it’s not a particularly happy time to be a Newcastle fan – but that doesn’t mean that we’ve got nothing to smile about.
Of course, it’s easy to forget that we were leading Wolves for much of the second half, which is an achievement in of itself, whilst Miguel Almiron also looked pretty good.
There’s something to be pleased about unrelated to the Wolves game, too. Newcastle have shared a fantastic picture that will certainly make fans at least slightly happier.
Jonjo Shelvey joined in with some of this morning’s session, and the team will train again this afternoon as the midfielder looks to edge nearer to a return to action following a thigh injury.

We haven’t seen Jonjo since the start of January, and we’ve missed him in the heart of the midfield. Especially with Miguel Almiron in the mix, it’s important that the midfield is able to link together seamlessly, and Shelvey would certainly help with that process.
Fortunately, he’s edging back to fitness, and we can’t wait to see him back in the black and white stripes.
Thoughts?
