It’s been an entertaining few days on social media, unless your name is Michael Owen.
I can’t really pretend to be enjoying the serialisation period! It’s not my style to criticise people. I’m counting the hours now until the book launches so people can actually read my views in the context they were written. #Reboot #HurryUpTomorrow

The former Newcastle striker and Ballon d’Or winner has been engulfed in a Twitter spat with the Newcastle community as well as Alan Shearer in the build-up to the release of his new book.
And the latest tweet from Owen has seen Magpie supporters continue their defence of both the club and Shearer as Newcastle fans reacted to the BT Sport pundit’s latest message on the social media site.
Here is what some Newcastle supporters had to say to Owen on Twitter about his new book…

Too late, we all hate you now.
