A report published by the Times has revealed the prices for replica football shirts in the Premier League and discovered Newcastle’s is the most expensive. It is priced at £65, making it the most costly in English football.
Their report only focused on the ten Premier League teams that have already launched their new shirt for next season, though.

Our new shirt was officially launched this week, but many of the fans reacted negatively and were unhappy with it. During the official launch video released on Twitter, the club stated the new shirt was based on the kit worn in 1969.
In 1969, we won the Inter-Cities Fair Cup, and this year marks the 50th anniversary. The Magpies won the tournament by beating Hungarian side Ujpest FC over two legs in the Final. The shirt was meant as a celebration of that triumph, but at £65, fans are far from celebrating.
Supporters are also waiting on news about the Bin Zayed Group’s proposed takeover, which The Sun last week claimed was ‘progressing well’, but there has been no official update issued by the club themselves. Another concern for the fans is Rafa Benitez’s contract expires at the end of the month, with the Times reporting he has an offer from China on the table.
Some Newcastle fan reactions can be seen below.

Most expensive in the Premier League for a club who has battled relegation since returning to the top flight just two year ago. And non of the supporters seem to even like the new kit

For a club who have no idea who their manager, owner or number 9 is going to be next season #shambles
