Some Newcastle United fans have let rip at manager Steve Bruce after he has allegedly been kept in the dark about the club’s takeover.
Luke Edwards of the Telegraph revealed on Twitter that the Magpies’ boss has not been told what is happening and has not had any form of conversation with retail tycoon Mike Ashley regarding guidance on the timescale or any form of reassurances.
This pretty much sums up the confusion and frustration of Ashley’s reign, who has made a series of similar decisions that have infuriated us all, particularly when he renamed St James’ Park the Sports Direct Arena in 2011.
Will Steve Bruce be Newcastle manager next season?
Yes
No
Bruce took the job in the summer, taking over from Rafa Benitez who left to join the Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang, in which the fans turned against him from his very first day in charge.
Because of this, supporters did not hold back against Bruce and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he does not “have one shred of sympathy for him”.
No chance, he got himself involved in this, he agreed to work under him. His own fault.

Bruce was warned about Ashley before he signed up by his mate Alan Shearer. The way he is being treated is par for the course and usual Ashley behaviour.

With all due respect to Bruce, he shouldn’t know. NDAs between certain parties, only the buyer and seller should know and *possibly* Charnley if he’s impacted in any way (which it sounds like he is).

Bruce chose his fate when he accepted Ashley’s sheckle and started coming out with nonsense about the best transfer window etc etc. I don’t have one shred of sympathy for him https://t.co/kQGrGLnXVS
