In yet another bout of transfer rumours possibly tied in with speculation around the future of current striker Andy Carroll, Kris Boyd is the latest striker to be linked with a summer move the Newcastle United.
Speaking to The Chronicle, Hughton said;
“Kris Boyd is a good player, but I can categorically say that there have been no talks at this stage.’
“There has been no correspondence and no communication. You never want to say 100% no, but it`s a non-starter at this moment.”
News of the departure of Joe Cole and Michael Ballack from Chelsea will no doubt alert the men with the money at Newcastle, and no doubt the men with the money will laugh out loud…oh how things and aspirations have changed for NUFC!
