It’s been a pretty mixed season so far for Newcastle. There have been some remarkable highs, of course, but the Magpies’ campaign has also been marred by issues that have prevented the club’s growth.
Of course, a lack of transfer action has been a significant reason behind our struggles, but uncertainty over the future of Rafael Benitez has also contributed.
One thing is certain, and that is if Newcastle are to remain a force in the Premier League, some big changes are needed. At the end of the season, the club need to draw up a major plan for the rebuilding process, and it seems as though Newcastle fans want forward Salomon Rondon to be at the heart of those plans.
Would you back a permanent bid in the summer? #NUFC https://t.co/Vb0uwiijiF

The striker, who is on loan from West Brom, is only set to remain with the club until the end of the season at present, but the Chronicle recently posed the question of whether fans want him to remain long-term, and it’s fair to say that the responses are unanimous – supporters are desperate for him to stay.
See what they’ve had to say below:
Yes. Try and incorporate it with Gayle going to West Brom permanently.

Yes too tight to buy tho

Definitely but for a sensible price

His work rate is good. He actually attacks the box and the ball. He can bring a ball down from space with one touch and keep a hold of it before teammates are ready for the offload. So for me yes.

Definitely! Holds the ball up as well as anyone I’ve seen!

Yes. He’s a vital part of this squad. And @jesscakatie will be in a big huff if we don’t sign him.

Without a doubt, but we also need a goal scorer. Haller from Frankfurt would be fantastic.

Of course. Came to England very highly rated and had Pullis and Pardew coach the game out of him. Rafa has him back on form and looks a fantastic player now. Unplayable at his best.

Why wouldn’t we want him he’s been outstanding

In a word…yes.
