Newcastle’s enigmatic midfielder, Allan Saint-Maximin has been the source of speculation for months now as to whether or not his future lies at Newcastle, with Chelsea, Tottenham and even Juventus named as possible destinations for the Frenchman.
Maxi has missed a lot of football this season due to injury but still remains a popular figure on Tyneside. His style of playing is eye-catching and has endeared him to the Toon Army along with scoring some key goals in the past, the most recent of which was an absolutely stunning volley to salvage a point against Wolves.
Earlier today, Saint-Maximin held a Q&A with fans on his Instagram Live as he soaked up all the adulation from Newcastle fans who declared their love for him he responded with “I love you as well, guys. I will never forget Newcastle” then, beating his chest, declared “here forever”.
There are some who believe there’s something off between Howe and ASM, maybe that their footballing styles clash, or that Howe just doesn’t fancy Maxi. It’s all speculation of course, as neither has come out and said a bad word about the other, or even hinted at anything of the sort.
With ASM likely back to full fitness by the time the league games get back underway, along with Alexander Isak, there’ll be an extra dimension added to Newcastle’s play which should allow them to build on the brilliant start to the season, even without taking into account any additions that may come through the January transfer window.
