Newcastle fans were hardly the biggest fans of Michael Owen before his book was due to come out, and now it seems that the striker is even more disliked by plenty of the Magpies after his recent comments about the club and his time there.

The former Magpie is not going out of his to try and win over any of the Geordies he used to play for, and as a result of that, the BT Sport pundit is now coming under plenty of stick for his comments that feature in his new book.
The auto-biography sheds light on the striker’s fallout with Newcastle legend Alan Shearer and details how the former Manchester United man was desperate to re-join Liverpool before moving to Newcastle, although you can bet there will be few Newcastle fans willing to splash out buying it.
You can see what the Magpies have made of Owen here:
He’s got to sell a few copies, god knows what set of fans would buy that mercenaries book though, hated by most, adored by none. Maybe he can tell everyone about the time he rested up during our relegation battle just to keep himself healthy for the world cup that summer!!

For such a small club, funny how he was never the best player on the pitch #overrated

Agree #nufc is a backward step from Real Madrid, but when your past your best and your looking for a way out, they were the best to offer you a contract. Fans right again, gravy train player.

Wait Micheal Owen played for Newcastle? He didn’t just rob us for a wage from the physio table??? Whaaaaat??

The Magpies seem to have very little time for Owen, and who can blame them given his attitude towards their club.
