Lots of Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to welcome back their skipper Jamaal Lascelles after he made his return to the first-team yesterday.
The centre half has been out of action since injuring his knee against Bournemouth in November, keeping him on the sidelines for roughly nine weeks.
He made his comeback yesterday in the Third Round replay of the FA Cup, and thankfully he partook in a 4-1 victory for the Magpies.
It was a pretty routine victory for the home side and it looked beyond doubt after 26 minutes as they went 3-0 up.
This meant that by the 56th minute, there was no real need to keep Lascelles on the pitch and he got pulled to ensure that he didn’t risk any further injury.
After the game, Lascelles took to Twitter to express how happy he is to be back in United colours, to which many fans welcomed him back with open arms.

It’s good timing for Newcastle as they have some important games coming up and the relegation zone is still a bit too close for comfort.
They are six points above the relegation zone as it stands, however, their next two games are Chelsea and Everton, and they will want to be picking up at least one point before they have a high pressure game against Norwich at home.
