GR has let it be know to various media outlets that he is trying not to become personally involved in either of the situations, merely stating:

‘It’s a situation that’s going to come to a head with the commission, which I think has been set for the 19th (March). It’s obviously in the hands of our legals. The club made a statement yesterday and there is nothing I can add to that statement. We’ll just have to wait and see. For me personally the line is there is nothing else to say.’

With regards to the ongoing Owen compo claim from FIFA, despite the obvious bonus to his summer transfer wedge, he added:

‘The other matter the club is dealing with and I don’t have anything actually to do with that. I’m sure the chairman is very adept at dealing with that situation and is doing his very best for the club. My main concern is getting Michael back out there and playing.’
