I’ve never really been a fan of Freddie Shepherd. His constant quotes as chairman and then following his ousting by Ashley were an embarrassment to us and himself. However today he came out with some 24 carat gold by slating the modern day saint and founder of the ‘Geordie Nation’ that is John Hall.

To some Hall is the man that bought Keegan in for his first spell. However Hall was also the man who left his incompetent son to bleed the club dry of dividends in the most appalling display of nepotism in football. Hall also sold us down the river to Ashley when he wanted his talent of silver. Shepherd was also a victim of the coup and hit back at Hall saying:

“I was interested to read what Sir John Hall said about Mike Ashley. It`s often been said that Ashley should have done due diligence on the club before buying it. But after all that has happened, the question I would ask is why did Sir John Hall not do due diligence on Mike Ashley?”

A fair question Frederick and one that hasn’t gone unnoticed with the fans.
