England Star Could Make Newcastle Move

|

A name that keeps appearing on Newcastle’s radar is that of England midfielder, James Ward-Prowse, currently of Southampton.

Journalist Dominic Scurr claims that Ward-Prowse would be tempted with a switch to St James’ Park to avoid another potential scrap in the lower half of the table, writes This Is Futbol.

Scurr was speaking on the Loaded Mag NUFC Youtube Channel and said,  “He could potentially be looking to move on because he doesn’t want to be in a relegation battle while he’s trying to get into the England squad. So, if he can move to a top-half Premier League side that Newcastle are hoping to be and get a decent run of games and start every week and be competing at the right end of the table then that ticks boxes for him as well.

“I’m fairly confident if Newcastle went after James Ward-Prowse he would be open to moving and making the switch to Newcastle.” (1:18:23)

For me, I’d love it if we made a move for Ward-Prowse, his energy and work rate are fantastic which is why he got the nod from Gareth Southgate. But obviously, his most notable talent is his ability to put free-kicks seemingly wherever he wants. We already have Kieran Trippier who is not too shabby with a dead ball situation, as we have seen already, but imagine having two options with the ball placed 20 yards out. Nightmare fuel for any defence.

If you aren’t totally convinced by Ward-Prowse then I highly recommend you watch the Ever More YouTube Channel’s video on him to get a good look at his stats and what he can offer.
