Doesn’t Have What It Takes – Many Newcastle Fans Would Oppose Bid For PSG Outcast

|

Reports in Italy have suggested that we are among the clubs looking to sign PSG midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak.

The 28-year-old had an ill-fated loan spell at West Brom last season before returning to France. The Polish international won two Europa League titles with Sevilla before moving to Paris in 2016 for €30m.

However, since then he has struggled for form and is unlikely to remain at the Parc des Princes beyond the summer. I polled fans over whether they would want the holding midfielder at St James’ Park and most would be against the move:

The major concern about Krychowiak for me is his lack of pace. He doesn’t have the energy and dynamism to cope with the rigours of the Premier League. Considering that he offers little in the way of goals and assists, he would contribute very little to the team.

With the lack of goals in midfield last campaign, Rafa Benitez’s focus should be on recruiting more attack-minded players who could help us improve in front of goal.

What do you think? Who should we go after instead of Krychowiak? Let me know in the comments.
