On the back of the 1-0 victory at St James’ Park over Watford last weekend as Ayoze Perez opened his account for the year to return our first three points of the 2018/19 season, the aim will be to make it back to back wins on home soil and pull ourselves further away from the Premier League drop zone.
With goalscoring issues continuing to be a theme for us this year, youngster Elias Sorensen has been in fine form for the Under 23 group and plenty of fans want to see him get a shot with the seniors.
As the buildup to the game continued, the club took to social media for a normal training gallery update and in response, these fans doubled down on urging Rafa to include him, even if it was only on the bench.
