Several outlets have linked Newcastle with an interest in Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans as Newcastle continue to search for quality additions.
It’s widely believed that Tielemans may be looking to make a move away from Leicester after they failed to qualify for European competition and it’s thought that Dan Ashworth has made enquiries about acquiring the Belgian International.
Tielemans has 12 months left on his Leicester deal and could be willing to see it through, however it could also mean that Newcastle could get the player at a knockdown price, and with Tielemans himself saying that if he was to move it would have to be for the right project, that leaves Newcastle in a great position to tempt him to Tyneside.

Speaking to media whilst on International duty, Tielemans said: “You have to stay calm. I’m fine where I am, I still have a year of contract. I’m not in a hurry at all. When you change clubs, you don’t change to change.
“You change because there is a great project on the table. For a football player, the most important thing is to play. It will be up to me to take the right decision regarding my future this summer but here, I am very quiet and I focus on the devils [Belgium national team].” (Taken from The Chronicle)
Youri Tielemans has put in some outstanding performances since he arrived at Leicester and scored some blistering strikes too. Last season wasn’t his best, but then, it wasn’t Leicester’s best either. He definitely has the ability and experience to add another dimension to the squad.
