Bruno Celebrates His Goal Against Sunderland…. In FIFA 23

|

Bruno Guimaraes sure knows how to keep the Toon Army on side, posting a video to his Instagram story of his Fifa 23 avatar scoring the third goal against Sunderland.

Fifa 23 officially launches tomorrow, however, the early access for those who paid for the Ultimate Edition or who have EA Play launched on Tuesday.

Bruno posted the Instagram story last night where the score was Newcastle 3-0 Sunderland after 26 minutes with Bruno’s in-game character bagged the third while his real-life counter part chuckled and celebrated by chanting his own name.

Ever since Bruno signed for the Toon, his social media game as been on-point, rivalling his team-mate Allan Saint-Maximin. It seems he know exactly how to endear himself into the hearts of the fans and now he’s taken it even further by taking aim at our bitter rivals. Seeing as there have been no Tyne-Wear derbys for six years, we have to keep the rivalry going somehow.

Having played the new FIFA I do wonder what Bruno thought of his in-game likeness. He along with Ryan Fraser both look like they were missing on the day EA came to do the facial scans and were substituted with a potato, whereas Miggy Almiron was replaced with a praying mantis. It’s really odd as Guimaraes’ likeness in FIFA 22 was spot-on, so for them to have gone with this character model instead of just using last year’s more accurate representation seems weird.

And while I’m on ranting at FIFA, EA has some ‘splaining to do. Joelinton’s overall score is 75? Did they watch any football last season? I’m not saying he should be in the 80s or anything, but 75 is a disgrace. #JusticeForJoelinton
